Montgomery Chemicals is managed by a team of industry professionals who believe strongly in the tremendous industrial market for Sodium Borohydride and related products. Some of our primary managers are:
Charles A. Lumsden has sold and marketed Sodium Borohydride (SBH) and related products since 1972. He began his career as a salesman for the Ventron Corporation selling SBH primarily to the textile and paper industries in the southeastern United States and was successful in establishing a significant increase in sales and profitability for the company.
After Thiokol's purchase of Ventron, he was promoted to regional manager for the Midwestern Sales and Marketing, turning around a region where sales were in the decline. In 1985, Charles was promoted to Western Sales Manager for Morton-Thiokol with responsibility in 24 states, establishing significant new business for the company in the printed circuit board industry in California.
In 1994, Charles founded his own sales and marketing organization, Meltex & Co., Inc., to promote Sodium Borohydride products in the U.S., including representing Finnish Chemical Co. for Sodium Borohydride products until 1998.
Charles has been associated with Montgomery Chemical since 1999 and currently is Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Company. He is a graduate of the Georgia Tech with an engineering degree and has done post-graduate work in textile chemistry.
Thomas Evans is a graduate of Widener University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and is currently doing post-graduate work in Project Management at Villanova University. Over the past 15 years, Tom's experience in Chemical Manufacturing has been in the lab, plant, and in management, including three plant start-ups involving both precious and reactive metal chemistries.
His experiences include process design, production management, product development, procedure development and project management.Tom has been associated with Montgomery Chemical since its formation in 1999 and prior to that time acted in a consulting capacity evaluating the potential restarting of the plant for production of Sodium Borohydride and related products.
Tom is currently Senior Vice President of Manufacturing responsible for all aspects of plant operations and production, including assisting in design and supervision of the recent $2 million plant improvement.
